The exhilarating climb to the Gorilla habitat in the shady bamboo forest offers an exciting view in all directions. The Rushengeri base for gorilla tracking in the Parc des volcans is situated 15 kilometers from the base of the Virungas. It has wonderful sub-montane setting.
