Highlights of Gorillas, National Parks and Dramatic Scenery

Arrive Entebbe the day before the commencement of your challenge / adventures. A guide from Asyanut Safaris will welcome and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. You will then be briefed about your challenge while in Ugandan.

    Day 1:

An Early morning drive west wards (in our 4X4 vehicles that are adopted to provide comfort and enough leg room) to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a journey that will take most of the day arriving at about noon for lunch at Agip Motel in Mbarara Town. The forest is impenetrable and has dense growth and other mysterious and awesome vegetation. It offers plants sturdy opportunities in Africa. Gorilla trekking here is restricted and requires a permit to gain access. Your drive to Bwindi Is characterized with scenic views of the Kigezi Highlands called “The Switzerland of Africa”. You will arrive in the evening refresh and have your Dinner. Overnight at either Buhoma Homestead or Buhoma Community Bandas.

    Day 2:

After an early breakfast  and a brief by a ranger guide,  you enter the Gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The area offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape and increasingly dense vegetation criss-crossed by numerous animal trails. Mammals here include the endangered Mt. Gorillas, rare golden monkey, the Colobus monkey, buffalo and bush-buck. The thrill of observing gorillas is a moving and exciting adventure. After the long days adventure you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight rest in your lodge.

    Day 3:

Drive out of Bwindi National Park Northwards after breakfast to Queen Elizabeth National park via Isasha sector where you may see the climbing Lions in the savanna grasslands, and Ankole cattle grazing in the meadows. You will arrive for Lunch / Dinner and overnight accommodation at Mweya Safari Lodge or Institute of Ecology.

    Day 4:

Queen Elizabeth National Park offers a typical African Safari experience as you will discover during your early morning game drive and later the boat rides which takes place after your lunch. During both expeditions, you will be able to view the various animal and bird species.  The animals found here include: lions, elephants, buffalos, hippos, Uganda Kob, Baboons, and other antelope. Some of the birds seen on the Kazinga channel include: the shoebill, black bee-eater 11 species of kingfisher and others Falcons. In the evening you will then return to your chosen accommodation for dinner
and overnight rest.

    Day 5:

Today you leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and embark on another journey, after breakfast to Kibale Forest National Park and stay at either Ndali Lodge or CVK Resort, which offers good accommodation. The entire journey offers an opportunity to enjoy spectacular views of Mount Rwenzori, animals and birds. You will also have a cultural tour as you see the country side of Uganda and the little villages, small towns and way of life a long the way arrive Kibale in the mid afternoon and retire to your accommodation.

    Day 6:

Kibale Forest National park will be an adventure packed affair as this rain forest offers the richest diversity of primate populations in the whole world as well as various flora and fauna.

After breakfast, you will leave for a morning trek of Chimpanzees and other primates, which include the red tailed and grey cheek Mangabey and other primates.  The guide will provide detailed explanations on the primates, the fauna and flora and will ensure that your trek is both informative and enjoyable.  This walk is excellent for viewing birds and allows you see the primates at close quarters as you enjoy Chimpanzees drumming on tree buttresses with their hoots and screams. You will return from your chimpanzee trek in the late afternoon tending towards the evening, after freshening up, you will have your dinner and recount the day’s adventure to each other over a cup of coffee before turning in for night at Ndali Lodge or CVK Resort.

    Day 7:

Today you will depart from Kibale Forest National Park after breakfast and head  to Jinja town for overnight. Full Board.

    Day 8:

Today is an interesting day will go white water rafting on the Nile for either a full day or half day. You may also choose to bunjy jump or quad bike in the afternoon. At the end of this day, you will be so pleased with yourself as you refresh in preparation for your flight back home. This marks the end of the challenge/adventure in Uganda.
